Donāt break out those Fall sweaters just yet: Palm Springs Pride is just around the corner!
Taking place the last weekend in October, this year's festival kicks off with a bang, featuring rock band Neon Trees headlining on Halloween night. Mark your calendars for the parade on November 3 at 10am, transforming Palm Canyon Drive into a river of rainbows.
Palm Springs has long been a haven for the community, boasting one of the highest concentrations of same-sex couples in the U.S.
The city's Warm Sands neighborhood is particularly known for its gay resorts and clothing-optional pools, while Arenas Road in downtown is the go-to spot for gay nightlife.
Things to See and Do:
š Attend the Pride Festival in downtown Palm Springs
š Cool off at a gay pool party at the iconic Cathedral City Boyās Club
šø Bar hop along Arenas Road
š Take the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for stunning views
šØ Explore mid-century modern architecture on a guided tour
šµ Hike in nearby Joshua Tree National Park
Where to Eat: Fuel up for Pride festivities at Trio Restaurant, a gay-owned hotspot serving American fare with a twist. For a special night out, try Workshop Kitchen + Bar, known for its farm-to-table menu and craft cocktails.
Where to Stay: For a quintessential Palm Springs experience, book a room at the clothing-optional Santiago Resort (men only). Rates start around $249/night during Pride. For a more inclusive option, try the Ace Hotel & Swim Club, with its hip desert vibe and rates from $299/night.
Getting there: Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is just 2 miles from downtown. Alternatively, fly into Los Angeles (LAX) and rent a car for the 2-hour drive.
Book soon: Palm Springs Pride is a popular event, and places fill up fast!
