These festivities trace their origin to a pivotal moment in history—the Stonewall Riots of June 1969 in New York City, which sparked the modern gay rights movement. Throughout the month, cities around the world burst into Pride, each offering a unique cultural experience. Here are 8 can't-miss Gay Pride celebrations in June that continue to honor the courageous spirit of Stonewall—because the time to book is now!

2. Los Angeles: June 9 — The City of Angels bursts into Pride the second weekend in June with a massive block party and parade in Hollywood. The festivities really kick off the prior weekend with West Hollywood’s pride, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year — and goes all the way through Pride Night at Dodger Stadium on June 14. 6. Paris: June 29 — Not to be outdone, the City of Lights also hosts its massive festival and parade on Saturday, June 29.
